To my “just a loser - afraid of reality”-

I read, just not along with your blathering idiot.
Nothing exonerated or excused the blatant fraud Trump was caught perpetrating, nothing contradicts his direct involvement on multiple levels from negotiations through planning how to hide the payment as legal fees and repay Cohen to final approval and signing of the checks.

Tell me, what exactly do you think proves his innocence? Be specific. I hope it’s not a sycophant making an unsupported claim without evidence, contradicted by others who brought evidence…but I expect that’s what you’re hanging your hat on. It’s not convincing the jury.

Trump tried to get the case dismissed again because Stormy made fun of him, denied. He, and you are losers afraid of reality, and reality is he is guilty of everything he’s accused of and will be found guilty of most of it, and be sent to prison. It’s likely he’s going to jail first.

Don’t be mad another propaganda video was discarded…you’ll get one someday. PS- 😂 you spelled “trial” wrong 😂
😂 you even spelled “Daniels” wrong 😂
😂 you used the wrong “you’re”…twice 😂

Sincerely-
Your just a failure who couldn’t drag you out of the bubble.

CHP Officer not happy when you go 90 mph

newtboy says...

Nice.

I got pulled over after passing a CHP on highway 84 doing 110 on the flat artichoke fields section near the coast…he got to my window and asked “don’t you think 80 is a bit fast for this road?” I said “yes sir, it is.” I was also sincere, I was driving stupid fast the entire way over the hill. No ticket. I think CHP gets much different training than city cops.

That was 35 years ago in my civic. Not so fast, but handled like a go cart.

I got pulled over by the CHP for doing 110 outside King City in California.

The cop didn't even ask how fast I was going. He just said "110" and then he said "I'm going to write you up for 80 and save your license."

"Thank you, Officer." -- and I was sincere as fuck when I said it, too.

That was the last speeding ticket I got and it was over 20 years ago. Luckily, there was no cop around when I hit 140 on highway 237 outside Mountain View a week later. I miss the hell out of my Z-28!

Biden and the June job reports

luxintenebris says...

the concept that an R has to vote R is akin to mental illness. a serious disfunction in preception.

when Mitch the Turtle was up for re-election, he polled at 13% for how well KY citizens thought he did his job but 26% said they would vote for him (at the time of the poll).

that translates to 1/4 of KYians unable to conceive having a choice. Cult over civilization.

that's f'n stupid¹⁰.

how could a Blue be WORST than 3/4 awful? seems real, really, really pessimistic. In many Red states, it is still 40% Blue. wouldn't that mean 40% failure rates across the communities? sincerely doubt most people could pick 40/100 Blues out a crowd, even at a RATM concert.

It's fodder from the bull shute.

Jim Carrey reacts to Will Smith Chris Rock Slap @ The Oscars

newtboy says...

100% agree. The reaction was more disturbing than the assault.
Haddish reverting to the mindset of the early 80’s to say Chris was calling Jada a lesbian, tacitly excusing Will’s physical attack, Jesus fucking Christ could you do more mental gymnastics!? Remember that little known independent film, Black Panther? Were those bald, fit women thought of as lesbians, or strong warrior women? WTF?!
Also, if she was right, is being called lesbian really an insult to Haddish in 2022? I don’t see it as insulting.

I think Will should see prison/jail time. He should be sentenced to the absolute maximum allowed by law, he, with every advantage and privilege possible, brutally assaulted a 57 year old man with a sucker punch/slap from Muhammad Ali (lest you forget Will’s size and training at throwing punches)...not just in public, but on an international broadcast. Then I think Chris should sue for $500 million for damage to his international reputation and career. It has to be an amount that hurts, not a few weeks work worth of pay.

Does anyone think Will’s bare minimum late apology is sincere, or that he deserves less punishment because of who he is, how much money he has, or because he eventually “apologized”?

Would he think so if Chris had slapped the shit out of Jada in public, then cursed her out during her performance?! (Don’t get all sexist, the size and power difference are similar.).
That should be the measure of damage IMO. If someone did the exact same thing to his loved one, what would Will think is an appropriate punishment? Guaranteed a fine and stern talking to wouldn’t satisfy, so it shouldn’t be on the table.

As US Withdraws from Afghanistan, Refugees Must Be Evacuated

luxintenebris jokingly says...

first: a small request; Bob, use a spelling/grammar program.
https://tinyurl.com/4nkfbzaa

second: a sincere observation; when has TT ever mentioned Afghanistan before? checked only the last 10 years of his posted comments.* Nix. Nil. Notta. More dead air than normal.

* [the Beck prediction is in the same league as bob's 'landslide' prognostication. the swing & miss league.]

then a few questions about his contentions...

- now he is concern about the Afghani women? too weird coming from our own Tali-ban-abortion tribesmen.
- would he know the mechanisms of the 25th? what the requirements are? obviously, stupidity isn't one. (orange you glad?!)

none of the events should have surprised anyone. personally, it was a bit like déjà vu. although not lived through, but seen easily with the mind's eye. highly predictable by many, long ago, and not so much psychic ability as an inevitability.

believe that the US presence did make an impression on the Afghanis. just hearing today's Taliban leadership words are so unlike those 20 years ago it's heartening. remember these were the folks that blew up historical items in the name of Mohammed/Allah. total trocklidites. at least they've learned PR and some knowledge of how the rest of the world views them.

will know how successful, if the country moves to the 17, 18, or 19th century? how will they keep the boy/girl on the opium farm after they've seen the big city?

what should happen, not in another country, but this one, is that the USA returns to a draft. or some required national service. the 'privatization' of the military and the all-volunteer service is a corrupt failure.

too many times, too many people talked about iraq/afghanstan and knew of NO service person serving there.

return it back to a collection of representation of ALL sections of the American people. when we don't know a single person in the conflict, the majority loses connection.

then, what should have been 3 years becomes 20 years.

can't find the speech but Geo Mason once talked about this very situation. essentially, he said; right now all levels of society are present in our fight for freedom, but what about the future?

he questioned whether the defense of the country would continue to be all citizens or descend into 'higher-ups' calling the shots and the lower in society actually doing the fighting and dying.

the last two wars have answered this.

'draft dodger' use to be derision, now it's a class of people.

(clinton, bush jr, trump...just to name a few)

in short, we ALL should have had a literally 'dog in the fight' that affects ALL of us. then, maybe, it ends when it is supposed to...or we try to lead by example instead of pounding bombs on people that don't want 'our way of life'...or we aren't so easily mislead as citizens.

it could be the one very powerful connection for ALL of the American people to keep ALL of US united.

* * * *
this is where I'd put a (but can't find an example of it) David Letterman monologue link where he said (believe it was Iraq, but still good as a comment on Afghanistan) to the effect of..."And the administration says we're going to bring democracy to them, upgrade their infrastructure, and improve their schools! And they say if it works there we're gonna try it here!"

so instead, something for the kids...

Boston Cop Brags About Driving Through Crowd

moonsammy says...

Here's the thing: if average citizens didn't have guns, I'd be right pissed if the cops carried them.

I can't speak for the whole of whatever the fuck you think "liberals" encompasses, but here's my take on guns & cops: the constitution allows for guns within well-regulated militias. It was just worded really, really poorly. I mean, read 2A - it's practically authentic frontier gibberish. But the words "well-regulated militia" are definitely in there. And it makes sense - they were trying to secure a bold new type of governance. They needed to be able to defend that, and there was no immediate plan for a standing army. So local, reasonably well-supplied militias, which weren't a bunch of bumblefucks shooting at whatever whenever, were a pretty real need. Where we're at *now* with guns is so fucking far from what the founders could've possibly conceived, that to think they'd approve of it is absurd. I mean, maybe a few of them (they were quite the diverse bunch of white male landowners, in all sincerity), but those with solid military experience likely would've been horrified.

Having said that, it's fantasy-land nonsense to think the prospect of completely eliminating recreational guns in the US in the near term is viable. Hunting armaments will (and perhaps should) remain common for a long while, so be it. I see handguns and non-hunting long arms (or those that are excessive for it) as of significant negative value to society, they can all fuck right off into a metal recycling center or the armory of a well-regulated militia. Perhaps keep some at firing ranges for recreational target practice, with competent professional supervision, and with reasonable regulations in place.

Cops should have firearms in their armory, up until such time as we're living in a Star Trek-like utopia of blissful peace. Humans are largely cool, but some of us are dangerous fucksticks. Have cops pull guns for calls that seem like they'll be needed, and rely on less-lethal options as much as possible. Oh, and stop using the less-lethal options as fucking compliance-obtaining shortcuts. Don't fucking tase or use chemical spray when it isn't needed, they're not for the cops' convenience but to avoid more severe harms from occurring. Officer Friendly should be the order of the day, and any substantial deviation from that should be met with termination and arrest, with consequences no less severe than a non-police citizen would see. No more bad apples, no spoiled bunch.

Hey, thanks for the rant opportunity! Us liberals need to practice our high horsing from time to time. And just like God, we all love you. You specifically, you goddamn sexy hater.

Actors are frequently told to just appear bored, and with the right editing and background music that performance can be made to appear heartfelt, humorous, or whatever is needed. RNC 2020 & Kenosha: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

scheherazade says...

Perspectives on Rittenhouse seem to track perspectives on where one imagines one would be found in that situation.

Do you imagine being a looter or rioter?
Rittenhouse is bad.

Do you imagine being a resident of the street in question?
Rittenhouse is good.

The protest angle is moot, since Rittenhouse didn't go there to interact with protesters.

I personally wouldn't go attack property that doesn't belong to any of the people that ostensibly inspired the protest (the police officers responsible for the shooting). So I am more likely to imagine myself being a simple resident.

If it were the homes of the police officers being looted, then at least the looting would have some logical reason behind it.
I'm actually surprised, that after all these protests, and all the looting, and all the destruction, that nobody has bothered to actually target the people that are responsible. Brings into question sincerity.

Side note, I actually think that police were way in the wrong to shoot, or even bother, Jacob Blake. The man only stopped to break up a fight. Cops (responding to a call, ostensibly about that very fight) just showed up and went after him, without taking any time to assess what was going on. Absolutely reckless cowboy behavior with little regard for the state.

Trump Just NUKED Democrats From Orbit With Hilarious Letter

newtboy says...

The actual letter-

Dear Senator Schumer:

Thank you for your Democrat public relations letter and incorrect sound bites, which are wrong in every way.

As you are aware, Vice President Pence is in charge of the Task Force. By almost all accounts, he has done a spectacular job.

The Defense Production Act (DPA) has been consistently used by my team and me for the purchase of billions of dollars’ worth of equipment, medical supplies, ventilators, and other related items. It has been powerful leverage, so powerful that companies generally do whatever we are asking, without even a formal notice. They know something is coming, and that’s all they need to know.
A “senior military officer” is in charge of purchasing, distributing, etc. His name is Rear Admiral John Polowczyk. He is working 24 hours a day, and is highly respected by everyone. If you remember, my team gave you this information, but for public relations purposes, you choose to ignore it.

We have given New York many things, including hospitals, medical centers, medical supplies, record numbers of ventilators, and more. You should have had New York much better prepared than you did, and as Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx said yesterday, New York was very late in its fight against the virus. As you are aware, the Federal Government is merely a back-up for state governments. Unfortunately, your state needed far more of a back-up than most others.

If you spent less time on your ridiculous impeachment hoax, which went haplessly on forever and ended up going nowhere (except increasing my poll numbers), and instead focused on helping the people of New York, then New York would not have been so completely unprepared for the “invisible enemy.” No wonder AOC and others are thinking about running against you in the primary. If they did, they would likely win.

Fortunately, we have been working with your state and city governments, Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill DeBlasio, to get the job done. You have been missing in action, except when it comes to the “press.” While you have stated that you don’t like Andrew Cuomo, you ought to start working alongside him for the good of all New Yorkers.

I’ve known you for many years, but I never knew how bad a Senator you are for the state of New York, until I became President.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. Or, in the alternative, call Rear Admiral Polowczyk.

Sincerely yours,

Donald J. Trump

So, not the time to play politics, eh? Hilarious letter, eh? Hilarious in it's self centered ignorance, self congratulatory message, complete lack of self awareness, and total lack of anything helpful or useful, just more Don the Con whining that bad man make little Donny cry hurt and firing tactless political shots. It would be hilarious if tens of thousands of lives weren't at risk because of this narcissistic idiocy.
Remember, Trump said those who aren't nice enough to him won't get their calls answered, and publicly instructed Pence to follow suit.
Con man Don told Schumer that he had written this "very nasty letter" (Donny's words) but would try to keep it from being sent and publicly apologize if it was, then Trump's office released it to the media.
Not the time for politics....yep. *facepalm

Policeman Just Hanging Out While On Duty

newtboy says...

Kind of you, thanks.

The best you can do for me is be grateful for those that offer you help or kindness and express it, and not develop a sense of entitlement and expectations that others owe you favors and handouts, or an obligation to put themselves at risk. The more people that do that, the better.

Unfortunately, I have all too often gotten the opposite from those I've offered assistance, kindness, trust, or even familial benefits/ treatments. More often than not, my kindness is mistaken for weakness, and met with demands for more rather than thanks for what I gave/did, and abusive anger when I balked. My faith in humanity has been ground into the dirt and peed on consistently enough, even by family, that it's maybe not completely dead, but is on life support and declining. To keep it alive, I must now be extremely selective about who I put myself out for and how.

I sincerely hope you don't have the same experience.

makach said:

okay, that went dark fast. I get your point and I am sad that this is a reality that you are familiar with. I am fortunate enough to live in a different country and am in a life situation where I can have a little bit more faith in humanity, I am lost for words.

60 teens vandalizing and looting Walgreens

JiggaJonson says...

The point of me quoting the youtube commenters was to illustrate that THOSE are the lines that the racist people on youtube are using with sincerity and being repeated here.

Here's some others - see them on the youtube link yourself

"These kids need fathers"
"Surprisingly, school supplies, birth control, and Father’s Day gifts remained untouched and in full supply!"
"Bunch of hoodlums without fathers in the home."
"Took everything but the Fathers Day cards"
"Took everything except job applications"
"If Obama had sons, nieces and nephews"

It's not a joke, it's an echo of the racism. Yes, what these kids did is criminal. Yes all of them should face real legal consequences. No, not because black people don't like working (taking job applications). No, not because single parent homes are a real problem in this country (father comment).

BSR said:

I'm not that cynical. It's best I trust he was joking.

Edit: He would call out the people in the front row and that would be just as funny for the same reason.

What is the Second Civil War

shinyblurry says...

Rick Joyner is a false prophet. Unfortunately, people from his circle, which is the most abhorrent wing of the Charismatic church, have become the public face of Christianity.

Christian teachers should be evaluated by the scripture. The scripture will expose their wrong teachings and motives, and what they really are will be proved out over time. If someone is pushing an abhorrent form of Christianity, they should be called out and condemned.

This session that we watched is extremely unfortunate. The participants failed to discern that Rick is a false prophet, and like the false prophets described in the bible, he comes with dreams and visions he claims are from God but are actually against the purposes of God.

I do not condemn Jim Baker, or David Barton or the others..I think they are sincerely deceived. They need to be corrected and discern the true spirit behind the false prophet Rick Joyner.
